Our Mission at FISH NWCTThe mission of FISH NWCT is to provide the most basic of human needs - food, shelter and hope.
Since opening its doors in 1972, FISH has evolved into our region's largest emergency homeless shelter (35 beds) in the NWCT corner, providing families, individuals and veterans a safe and secure haven as they await permanent supportive housing; as well as serving area residents (over 1700 annually) as a food pantry, distributing food for nearly 180,000 meals in 2023. Our 6th annual "A Tasteful Event" was held May 22, 2024, at the Torrington Elks Lodge. We had a wonderful evening of celebrating food, wine, the joy of gathering and the spirit of giving. All to benefit FISH's Food Pantry and Shelter.
We look forward to next year! To find photos of the event, click here: A Tasteful Event Thank you
